A msg. from the ICM EC:
The follow up meeting of the last GB held on December 18 will take place on January 29 at 7 P. M. This meeting could not be held earlier due to holidays and bad weather.
The membership dues for 2010 are due January 1, 2010. However, since this meeting is an extension of the December 18, 2009 GB meeting, members who have paid their dues for 2009 will be eligible to vote at this meeting ONLY.

1-First day:
Registration will be on Sunday, January 10th at 11 am (weather permitting)
Lunch and award the Fall ‘09 certificates  12:00PM
School will be over after dhuhr prayer; please join your child in prayer

2- There will be no Friday school until January 15th

3-You will need to sign-up for volunteering on Sunday; please look at the attached calendar, choose a convenient date for you, and sign-up at the time of registration

4-For school closing always check the school website before dropping your child to school http://sb.icmorgantown.org

Br. Moghal, the father of Srs. Aarzu and Unbar Moghal & Br. Nishan Moghal passed away yesterday. May Allah (swt) give patience to his family during this difficult time, forgive his sins and grant him a lofty status in Jannah.

The Janazah prayer for the deceased will be held tomorrow (Dec 16) at the ICM after the Asr prayer (Iqaamah: 3:00pm), after which the funeral will proceed to the graveyard. Please do your best to attend the Janazah and the burial

UPDATE: ICM GB meeting took place on time. A breife reports from EC/BOT/ICM School were presented.
Number of ICM members who attended the meeting was under the minimum required by the constitution to hold vote for constitution ammendment. Therefore, no vote took place.
The ICM EC will call for another meeting in future for this purpose, and will be announced later, Inshallah.

ICM General Body meeting is planned for Dec. 18, 2009 at 7:00PM at ICM premises to vote for the amendment to the constitution (Proposal 1 or Proposal 2) by a secret ballot by ICM paid members.
Both the members and non-members are invited to participate in the process BUT only ICM paid members can vote.

The major difference between the two proposals is the part related to School Board.

The ICM is organizing cover dish breakfast for brothers and sisters who are fasting on the day of Arafat Thursday Nov. 26, 2009

Come and join your fellow community members in celebrating the holy day of Arafat and share the spirit of Hajj.

Inshallah, Eid-Ul-Adha will be on Friday November 27, 2009.

The Eid prayer will start at 9:00AM and takbeerat at 8:30AM. There will be a covered dish breakfast after the prayer.
Eid party will be on Saturday (November 28) after Maghrib prayer at ICM premises. Admission is FREE.

Please bring your family and enjoy the festivities.

Dear Community Members, ASAK
We have some good news and some challenging news. The good news is that the owners of the parking lot land have agreed to sell the land to ICM for $305,000 and the deal has to be closed by the end of December, 2009. The challenging news is that we have only raised $28,000 so far and that gives us ONLY 4-6 weeks to raise $305,000. We are appealing to everyone in this area to be generous and help us raise this money or even a loan to ICM will help. This permanent parking lot for ICM will help to remove a constant threat of not meeting city requirements for not having enough parking spaces. Insha-Allah, our future plan is to build the parking lot on ground floor and a community center on the top floor and consolidate the ICM in one location. This will also help us meet the constantly growing needs of our community for Eid, Ramadan and other routine activities. This is an URGENT need for this community. Alllah will reward you for this generosity. Please contact us if you would like to know more about this project.

Our next meeting to prapare for this event will be on Nov. 8 at 3:45 PM, at the ICM.

The ICM has confirmed that Eid Ul-Fiter is going to be on Sunday Sept. 20, 2009.

Eid prayer will start @9:30am and before that Takbirat will start @9:00am

After the prayer there will be community cover dish breakfast at the ICM. Please bring enough food for your self, your family, and little more to share with the rest of the community.

Eid Party and Dinner will @6:00pm at Stansbury Hall.
