Dr. Yusoff Dawood who used to be a member of our community in Morgantown, moved to Springfield, Massachusetts last year to work at Tufts University, MA.

There he served as the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department (Baystate Medical Center - Tufts University) and a Lecturer at Tufts University School of Medicine.

He had a heart attack and passed away on Sunday, Nov. 9th, 2008.

May Allah bless him, grant him mercy, and forgive his sins. Our hearts goes to him and his family.

Please keep him in your prayer, make a lot of Duaa for him, and ask Allah for his forgiveness.

May Allah bless him, forgive his sins, and make his grave a part of Paradise.

Eidul Adha 1429

The position adopted by the Fiqh Council of North America and the European Council of Fatwa and Research about Eidul Adha is that it should be celebrated following the Day of Hajj (Yaum ‘Arafah). Thus the final date of Eidul Adha will be determined after the announcement of Hajj by the Hajj authorities in Makkah.

According to the astronomical calculations, the month of Dhul Hijjah will begin on Saturday, November 29, 2008 and the expected date of Eidul Adha is Monday, December 8, 2008. Please check for the final announcement after November 29.
