Assalamoalaikum Sisters and Brothers,
InshaAllah, in three weeks the Mubarak month of Ramadan will be here. Ramadan is the month of giving and earning blessings from Allah. Among them are paying charity, giving Sadqa and feed people and breaking the Ramadan fast. I am requesting form the community to be generous with your donations for Ramadan to Masjid. Lots of students and poor families depend upon Masjid to provide Iftar and Suhoor for Ramadan. So far we don’t have any funds available for this purpose. Our projected budget for this activity is between $4000-5000.
As the very famous presidential saying goes ‘ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country’. I am asking for the same thing, ask not what your Masjid can do for you but what you can do for your Masjid. Sisters and Brothers, this is the time when you can do something for your Masjid and earn blessings. Please don’t wait to give Zakat or donation till the end of Ramadan. We need funds now, so please help your community. In this hard times, lots of people are out of job and don’t have enough to pay for rent or food. Our first priority is our community. Charity starts from home and this is our home.
I am not asking for lots of money. Whatever amount you can give, will be appreciated. Without your help we can not run this Masjid or organize Iftars. I thank those who always helped us out from the bottom of my heart and may Allah always showers His blessing on all of us, Ameen.
