We have some good news and some challenging news. The good news is that the owners of the parking lot land have agreed to sell the land to ICM for $305,000 and the deal has to be closed by the end of December, 2009. The challenging news is that we have only raised $28,000 so far and that gives us ONLY 4-6 weeks to raise $305,000. We are appealing to everyone in this area to be generous and help us raise this money or even a loan to ICM will help. This permanent parking lot for ICM will help to remove a constant threat of not meeting city requirements for not having enough parking spaces. Insha-Allah, our future plan is to build the parking lot on ground floor and a community center on the top floor and consolidate the ICM in one location. This will also help us meet the constantly growing needs of our community for Eid, Ramadan and other routine activities. This is an URGENT need for this community.
